The views in the Canal are amazing and as the sun sets you get to the see the beauty of the city and canal come alive. Huge buildings along the canal light up in various colors and you can see vehicles moving along the bridges constructed across the canal. These sights are definitely worth taking in and the dhow cruises come with a buffet dinner and some offer unlimited soft drinks as well. I’d definitely recommend the Marina Dhow Cruise over the one at the Creek as the food, service and overall atmosphere is just better.
An evening walk along the Dubai Marina
While we are still on the subject of the Dubai Marina there is one other thing you can do there. Its very simple, just take a walk along the canals and the beach in the Marina area. You get to see all the buildings in The Palm Jumeira light up across the shore from the beach. The canal is an absolute delight to walk along, all the tall buildings lined up and illuminated, various cafes & restaurants dotted along the way. It just feels alive during the nights and this is one of those simple things that really do leave a lasting impact.
Hot Air Balloon ride across the majestic Arabian Desert
One of the most unique and romantic ways to experience the Dubai desert is though a Hot Air Balloon ride. Witness the sights of the sun rising across over Arabian dessert at 4000ft and take in the majestic views of the desert and see the sand dunes shift shades as the sun moves. You also have a falcon show in the sky. These trained birds of prey move swiftly from one hot air balloon to the other mid-flight, a mighty impressive show. Once that’s all done and dusted take part in a hearty gourmet breakfast in a desert camp setting. Now tell me that isn’t romantic or impressive.

The desert safari in Dubai is definitely one of the major attractions, The 4×4 dune bashing rides are not for the faint of heart and its super fun while being still relatively safe. Now usually most people just take the desert safari but be done with it. However, there is an overnight desert safari as well and with it you get to stay in a desert camp in the Arabian desert and the best part about it is the stars in the sky at night. Being in the desert with clear skies and stargazing with your significant other after a sumptuous barbeque dinner, well perfection.
Dinner or High tea at the Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Its a staple in most Dubai itineraries and I always say this. The scale of the Burj Khalifa just doesn’t translate well in photos or videos, you have to be there in person to get a grasp of how tall it really is and it’s mindblowing the first time you’re up close. Having said that, just going there wouldn’t cut it right? So, I do have a few suggestions to make that experience even more profound & meaningful and there are two broad ways you can do it. At.Mosphere at Burj Khalifa is a fine dine restaurant that is located on the 122nd floor. A romantic dinner here overlooking the cityscape from 442m above the ground is definitely a great way to make your time at the Burj more memorable. The other alternative is that you can take the VIP access to the 148th floor with its outdoor terrace at 555m from the ground. You also get complimentary refreshments at the iconic SKY lounge with the VIP access and a private tour. The sunset and the views of the city from the Burj at this level are outstanding and will definitely elevate your experience to whole another level. It’s really hard to beat this.
