Beyond prioritizing search intent, your content strategy should also consider what search engines favor. That means you can’t be lax about formatting and readability.

2. Redefine Your Idea of Original Content

Sometimes, original content is exactly that–something that’s 100% never thought of before. However, putting your spin on other content ideas can make them feel new again.

That’s why it’s always a good idea to know the trends and choose relevant ones for your content strategy. You should also check what new content your competitors are putting out and be sure that when you publish yours, that your posts are well-researched.

3. Do a Deep Dive on Interesting Subtopics

At this point, you may be thinking, “Is it even necessary to be so technical when they’re only posts for social media?”

One thing you shouldn’t forget is everybody’s scrambling to deliver and share creative content. Once you forget about shareability and social media platforms, you’re already falling behind. 

Focusing only on what’s shareable, though, isn’t enough. Plus, you’ll have to contend with competitors doing the same. If you go for subtopics, even the super-niche ones, you’ll be perceived as an authority on such subjects.

4. Find Your Unique Voice

Social media users are savvy and instinctively know how to distinguish brands with a unique voice. 

Developing that voice, however, takes time. That’s why you have to be ready to experiment with your content. Don’t be afraid to get creative with photos, infographics, videos, and so on, and if you’re targeting a younger crowd, you should familiarize yourself with gifs and memes.

5. Ask For Help

The truth is creating original content takes a lot of time. If you need to hire a social media expert or a digital marketing agency to help you, do it.
