Isn’t it annoying when a stranger pokes you on a plane when all you want to do is rest?

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson had a similar experience, according to a video that went viral.

According to reports, the 55-year-old repeatedly punched a passenger on a plane after he was reportedly irritated by the man’s attempts to talk to him.

The
TMZ Entertainment website said that the fighter was initially friendly to the passenger and his friend during boarding, but reacted after he “wouldn’t stop provoking” him when the plane was ready to take off from San Francisco on Wednesday.

The footage taken from the mobile phone showed Tyson throwing a flurry of blows at the man. Later, the man was left with bruises and some bleeding in the incident.

The
TMZ report said that the man “kept trying to talk” to him. “Tyson had enough of the guy behind him talking in his ear… and told him to chill. When the guy didn’t, that’s when the witness says Tyson started to throw several punches at the man’s face.”

According to
AFP, the boxing legend was reported to have walked off the plane before it took off for Florida.

Tyson is also known for his erratic behaviour – biting off a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear in a 1997 bout – and brushes with the law, including a conviction for rape and a cocaine addiction.

Soon after the video spread like wildfire on the social media platforms, Meme Lords got busy with creating jokes.

While a number of people supported Tyson, some of them questioned his behaviour.

On work front, Tyson wrapped up the dubbing for ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame Vijay Deverakonda’s debut pan-India movie ‘Liger’. This film marks the debut of the boxer in Indian cinema.

Post-production of the highly anticipated film is presently underway.

In association with Puri Connects, the film is being produced jointly by Bollywood’s leading production house Dharma Productions. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta together are bankrolling the film on a grand scale.

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the movie is based on the story of an underdog, who rises as an MMA fighter.

Also featuring Ananya Pandey as the female lead, ‘Liger’ is one of the most ambitious projects for the ‘Pelli Choopulu’ actor.

Vishnu Sarma is working on the cinematography, while Kecha from Thailand is the stunt director.

Being made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, the movie is scheduled for release in theatres worldwide on August 25.
