Individuals interested in applying for or updating Aadhaar can visit the Aadhaar enrollment centre along with the form and submit the request for updation. It is essential that your Aadhaar details are correct and up-to-date.

Aadhaar update

If you have changed your name or phone number, or your child has turned five or 15 years of age, you can visit the closest Enrolment/Update centre and update or correct your Aadhaar information, including demographics and biometrics, by filling in the form.

If you have not registered your mobile number while enrolling for Aadhaar, you are required to visit a Permanent Enrolment Centre to get it registered.

You can also update your Aadhaar with your new address if you have valid address proof or a letter of address validation (for those without valid address proof).

Details to update Aadhaar online service

You can update your name, gender, date of birth (DoB), address and language through Update Aadhaar online service. Please ensure that your mobile number is registered with Aadhaar while using this service.

Step 1: Visit UIDAI website

Step 2: Under My Aadhaar, click on ‘ Aadhaar update/Correction form’ which is towards your right side of the page.

Step 3: Fill the Aadhaar correction form. Make sure to enter accurate information.

Step 4: Visit your nearest Aadhaar centre and carry self-attested copies of the documentation supporting your update request, and submit it with the Aadhar form.

Additionally, a fee must be paid each time you visit the enrollment centre for an update or correction. However, enrollment for Aadhaar is free for everyone.

How to check Aadhaar update history

1. Step 1: Visit the UIDAI website.

2. Step 2: Select the “Aadhaar Update History” option from the “Update your Aadhaar” section listed under the My Aadhaar tab.

3. Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number or the virtual ID and security code.

Step 4:Choose the option to generate a TOTP using the mAadhaar app or receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Step 4: After entering the OTP or TOTP, press the “Submit” button.
